Tony was 87 years old and lived a full life. He started out working for Nebraska Furniture Mart for Mrs. B. Most of his professional life he worked at Raders Office Equipment until he purchased the business and became the owner. After he sold Raders, he bought his last business, Pegasus Travel.
Once he retired, Tony took up the game of golf and joined Happy Hollow Country Club, his home away from home! He loved spending time on the golf course with his friends. He also played cards, Gin and Pitch. He was an avid reader and loved jigsaw puzzles.
Tony and his wife Kay were world travelers. They visited Germany, Italy, and Russia but their all-time favorite was China.
He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay; father, John; mother, Sadie; brother, Richard. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Bertagni (Steve); son, Mark LaMalfa; grandchildren, Dr. Chad Bertagni (Jessica), Christian Bertagni; great-grandchild, Luca Bertagni.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Catholic Charities or Make-A-Wish Foundation Nebraska.

Following his time at the University, Tony served diligently as one of the original members of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni Corporation on the Alumni Board for over 20 years.
